Struggling for something to watch this month? Love wrestling? Then you’ll want to hear about these two great deals…

I spoke before about the WWE Network, which is now up and running in the UK. And for the Month of February new subscribers can catch all the action for free.

Michelle Wilson, the WWE’s chief revenue and marketing officer said “Last November, we offered a free month of WWE Network to new subscribers with great success, helping us reach the one million subscriber milestone”.

“We are excited to extend the same opportunity in February to those who have not yet subscribed, so they can experience all that WWE Network offers right before WrestleMania.”

And what can you see in this free period? Fast Lane is the pay-per-view this month, on February 22nd, and there’s also the massive back catalog of WWE, WCW and ECW shows, documentaries and WWE’s own reality shows. I had a chance to look through the contents of the WWE Network recently and there really is a massive amount of content.

The WWE Network is priced at £9.99 in the UK and if you’re interested in signing up head over to WWE.com.

And if all that wasn’t enough for you then how about some Japanese wrestling?

New Japan Pro Wrestling is offering their own streaming service, NJPW World, for free this month as well. And February includes The New Beginning in Osaka iPPV, which is normally a great show. NJPW tweeted about the other shows that are on this month:

As well as these current shows there’s a wealth of NJPW history for you to delve into. Why not check out Hulk Hogan vs. Antonio Inoki, Andre The Giant vs Stan Hansen, AJ Styles vs Minoru Suzuki… I could go on.

Uproxx.com point out some important information for anyone considering signing up;

It’s important to note that you are still required to input your credit card information, and it appears that you will be reimbursed for the month’s charge after February ends. If you decide you don’t want it after the month because you are crazypants bananas, you must remember to cancel it on the 27th (keeping in mind the time differences in Japan as well).

If you’re interested in catching some Puro then head on over to NJPWworld.com, make sure you scroll down to the bottom and translate the page into English to make it easier for you but if you need more help then check out this Reddit users guide to signing up. The cost after the free month is 999 yen a month, that’s just £5.61 at the current exchange rate!

Let’s be honest, the NJPW World cost is a frickin’ steal. For the true wrestling connoisseur it’s a no brainer, all that action for just over a fiver? And if you’re not sure you’d get much out of it the free month trial should make it incredibly tempting. And the WWE Network is decent value considering the wealth of content available, it’s just a shame the price isn’t in line with the US (where it costs $9.99/£6.58 a month).

I’m pretty confident that if you choose either of these services you won’t be disappointed. And if you choose both? Well then you’ll be in wrestling heaven my friends.
